According to different information sources, some environments has up to 30% of users that are inactive.
Inactive users that you you still has +30% of person records, databases that are not used, and potential security hole.

if you are on 6.x or higher, you can easily fix this. Just enable LICENCE tracking, and server will gather statistics, about users, last access date, and protocols used by this Notes user, LDAP, NOTES (NRPC), POP3/IMAP etc.

If enabled on all servers on Administrative Server, you fill find userlicenses.nsf database which will contain all the information about users, and their last access date.

I PLAN to post a tool, which automates inactive user identification, this tool will show that the following XXX users are inactive for more than 90 days, or something.

To use this tool, you can enable License Tracking collection today :)

if you have some users that you don't wont to be notified about their inactivity, for example someone is on parential vocation or somethings else, then just type OK, in comment field and depending on my tool configuration, agent will skip these entries.

For example this could be usefull if you have an ID with which you sign all databases. it is normal that this user is inactive... then just type OK in commend field.
