During last day, had two problems reported by customers. These problems were linked to Recent Contact functionality.
In Notes 8.x - when we receive emails, Notes add correspondents to local NAB.
I think Notes, should add ONLY external Addresses, but not groups defined in Domino Directory, and local recipients.
This make terminated employees to appead in Address book. or LocalGroup with the same name appear in LocalAddess Book, thus may not contain same members.
Also in Basic clients, I didn't found a way to disable it, but it enabled by default.
Here is a Technote, seems to be requested by many, how to disable it.

There will be changes in 8.5.2 clients, we will have more options, but it seems to me that it causes more problems then benefit.
What is your oppinion? Do you use it? Have your users reported any issues because of this feature?

We turned it off...it created all sorts of problems. When we would try to use the 'send' method from the backend, it would cause errors if the user was in recent and NAB.
Also, users were accidentally sending messages to the wrong people, because they weren't accustomed to their mother's email address popping up in the type-ahead!:)
Thanks Mike,
I am also considering to turn this off. just wanted to know other people experience.
I think if it would be nice if it just adds only Externals users, then it will be good feature.

We are using this and there are issues with this but its so nice when you are use to this feature and you have to train your self to READ the email address when you type it in. Plus there is a LS on openNTF tt cleans out the recent contact that can be added to ($inbox) folder for easy clean up.
It seems OpenNTF things need to be pun in IBM code, so users also enjoy this feature.
We turned it off.
Numerous issues included obsolete or incorrect email addresses populating on type-ahead.
Hi;
Unfortunately, although I realize I could not read the topic defalrca to help me in this regard would be glad if the mail.

We also turned it off, people were getting confused about why their type-ahead wasn't working as expected (which means "differently") with no corresponding benefit. Now if could find a way to KEEP it turned off?
was an article I liked. Thanks for sharing.
