    Yesterday, was reading RSS feed of Lotus Support, foung good technote, about configuring Embedded Lotus SameTime client in Lotus Notes 8.0.2
    Have not tested this yet, but I know this is valuable info for those who deployed Domino 8, and Lotus Notes 8.

    Question
    Where do you find the appropriate provision-advanced provisioning script for your operating system (.sh or .bat) to download to the computer where you will set up provisioning?
    Step 1 of the Lotus® Sametime® Information Center topic "Provisioning the Lotus Sametime Advanced client for existing Lotus Notes clients" tells you to download the appropriate script for your operating system, but you do not see the scripts listed on the Download document.
     
    Cause
    The Information Center topic does not provide the necessary script or commands required to deploy the Sametime Advanced plug-ins to a Lotus Notes® 8.0x client (standard configuration).
     
    Answer
    The files and fixes needed to provision the client can be found on IBM Fix Central. There are fixes available for:
    • Sametime 8.0 Advanced in Notes 8.0.1 Standard

      Download ST-8.0-Windows-ACOE-7FJJUQ directly from Fix Central or refer to "Sametime Advanced 8.0 embedded in Notes 8.0.1" (#1308259)
    • Sametime 8.0.1 Advanced in Notes 8.0.1 Standard

      Download ST-8.0.1.0-MultiOS-ACOE-7J7NEL directly from Fix Central or refer to "Sametime Advanced 8.0.1 embedded in Notes 8.0.1" (#1318629)

    Hi,

    this technote is for the sametime _advanced_ plugin.

    Afaik you can preconfigure ST settings for LN 8.x standard in the plugin_customization.ini.

    I think plugin_customization.ini is something you can include in installation, this is something that can centrally configure EXISTING clients.
