How to move NOKIA address book to Blackberry devices

Vladislavs Tatarincevs  18 August 2008 19:08:28
Hi, I am totaly new to Blackberry, and last Friday I became an owner of this magic device.
For several years I used Nokia phones, but now I moved to Blackberry because many customers are interested in this Blackberry and Email Integration (Domino, Exchange+BES).

I could share a small tip how easily you can get your contact from Nokia To BlackBerry.

The easiest way to migrate your address book is:
1. Make a backup of your phone. :)
2. Make a backup of your local names.nsf
3. delete your local contacts from names.nsf
4. Call Nokia PC Suite, and run Synchronization applet, (1) then click Configure (2) and then (3) mark, contacts Items.
I even set it to One way syncronization NOKIA->Lotus Notes.
5. Then Run a Blackberry Desktop Software.

I have found 4.6 version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
Under Syncronize applet you can configure to push local Names.nsf to your BlackBerry device.

I think this should work the same if you run OutLook.

after all, restore you local Names.nsf (because we deleted local entries in step 3).

I hope this will help some one :)
