Notes Traveler: SEVERE *system Error reading MapDir java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

Vladislav Tatarincev  18 October 2009 16:11:41
I was configuring Lotus Traveler 8.5.1 on one customer site, after installation Nokia/Windows mobile clients were able to access server, iPhone/iPod has no access.
I got the following errors in Console.... Checked all prerequirements should have Domino Servlet Manager and others, but everything seems to be ok. (my post here)

I was unable to find solution in support. I analysed installation log file, and noticed that traveler.jar file is old, and it has ReadOnly property, so removing ReadOnly and reinstalling Traveler, solved a problem.  I hope this could help someone :)

Install log of Traveler is very useful, so after installation you have an option to access IBM InforCenter, and also view installation log, spend two minutes to read it, and you will be sure that everything is fine or if not fine, what is the cause of the problem.

I had the same error after upgrading a 8.5 server to 8.5.1. The reinstall, of 8.5.1 and then traveler, also fixed it for me. I did not need to change any file properties. Very odd.
