Things that I would like to see in next versions of Lotus Traveler

Lotus Traveler is a great product, which gives free Push-mail solution to customers who run Best Messaging/Application Platform - Domino :).

I use SMS for Traveler autosync, when message arrives to email server, Domino sends a hidden SMS, which says to Traveler that he need to pick up new mail.
I was abroad some time ago, so I used ROAMING, which is rather expensive when you receive a lot of emails.
So first thing I miss is to have SCHEDULED check, for example 8:00-18:00 to check mails every hour,  or every 4 hours, twice a day.
So when you are abroad, this could be a feature that saves money. Now, according to new EU regulations, GPRS trafic is no longer rounded to megabytes, but rounded to kilobytes. which is much cheaper.

Next things I would like to have, is that Traveler can use Known WiFi networks first, and only if they are not available, then switch to GPRS, like in iPhone/iPod, Known networks are connected automatically. When I am in the car, or in the street,  I have only GPRS available, when I am at home/office/client, almost everywhere there is a wireless, so it could also save money.

for big organization, this could be a feature, that saves a lot of money.

That is where Lotus Mobile Connect comes in. While I had a winMobile device I was using LMC to connect back to my VPN. And LMC can be configured to use WLAN first (or only).

Thanks, Stephan, I saw Lotus Mobile Connect Video, so I was planning to test this... :) I saw NOKIA utility which provides same functionality in Nokia downloads. Thanks for idea. :)
