Why there is a "Copy to Personal Address book" button in Domino Directory

Many customers ask, WHEN "Recent contacts" will work fine. Recent contacts is a cool feature, but I find it is quite unpredictable and unstable.
I am on 8.5.3 CODE DROP 3 and found it is still not working. I hope it will be fixed in gold release.

One more thing that makes a lot of helpdesk tickets is Person record copied from Domino Directory to Local Address Book.  I understand Why it there, but ..
It works fine until rename, or domain change or some modifications are done to Person document in server names.nsf. Local record is outdated, and this causes issues....

as well Send Upgrade notification... is it still needed? Domino 7.x is desupported on 30.04.2011, so SmartUpgrade should be used.
I with there is a button "Open Mailfile" not only in person document but also in "Mail-in" document..

May be it is time to do revision?
